Introduction: Have you even been curious why most ladybugs are red? What ladybugs eat? How many spots they have or why there are black? Well, today we are going to take a journey and figure out some fun and interesting facts about these little bugs. Over the past few weeks we have been studying different types of insects. Today we are going to take a closer look at the ladybug.
Task: Today you are going to pretend to be an entomologist for the day and explore the ladybug. We learned that an entomologist is someone that studies insects. There are many interesting facts about the ladybug that you might not know yet. By the end of the day you will know the parts of a ladybug, the life cycle, what a ladybug eats, and other interesting things.

2. Now that you have found some interesting facts about the ladybug, you and your partner will construct a model or drawing of a ladybug. Be creative! Use different kinds of materials to create the ladybug. Be sure to label the different parts of the ladybug as they will be displayed throughout the classroom for your parents to see.
