There are a variety of technology devices that I will utilize in my teaching. Here are some of the ones you will use:
Electronic whiteboards are a wonderful tool for any classroom. I plan on using the whiteboard to help teach lessons. This type of whiteboard allows me to write, save, and also print. This is also an easy tool for the students to use. I will have them interact with the board as well.
I love taking pictures! I plan on using a digital camera in my classroom instruction. First I will take pictures of my students, field trips, and classroom activities so I can post the pictures on my website for everyone to see. Second, by taking pictures of field trips I can utilize them in my lesson plans by having them as a guide for comprehension questions.
Using an overhead projector in my classroom helps make images larger for everyone to see. I can make a transparency of any worksheet to use with the projector when teaching a lesson. This makes it easier to work on worksheets together as a class.
Portable storage devices (USB drives) is an easy way to transfer information from one computer to another. This will make lesson planning easier because I can work from my home computer and then transfer the information over to my school computer. Also, I can put information onto my USB drive and then upload it to my electronic SMART board.
Headphones are a great way for students to work on something alone. In our listening center we have a read along book for the students to listen to through headphones. Certain times throughout the year, we have the opportunity to watch educational videos. We are able to hear the video through speakers. Headphones and speakers are an important tool to have in the classroom.
